Winter Weddings
We love winter weddings. Not just because it is deliciously dark but because you can trust the weather to be bad - any good weather is a bonus. Some photographers do not feel it is worth their while doing winter weddings but we know that you can get some of your best images at this time of year.

Alternative Ideas
What you have to be realistic about is the fact that it is cold and people do not want to stand about in the wind and rain for group shots. Inside can be great ,depending upon your venue but you should have a plan. Work with your photographer on your visit to the venue. Come up with some inside as well as outside ideas. Have a fall back plan. Any photographer worth their salt is going to bring at least one light with them for a winter wedding. Ask your photographer if they mind setting up a small ‘studio’ for people to come and have their picture taken. It can add real atmosphere to your album.

Don’t trash the dress
Make sure that you consider how far you are willing to go in your wet weather plan. White wellies and White umbrella look the business and your happy, smiling, faces as you splash in the rain are great keepsakes. But if you have just spent five grand on your dress, it may be something that you find you are not prepared to do come the day. We recommend that you seriously think about how you want to feel trailing a soggy dress around for a few hours. If your OK with that then so are we. If not, then don’t force it – find another way.
